GMAT Course Options There are two main options: GMAT classroom courses or online courses. Review the pros and cons for each method of preparation.
Prep Strategies for the GMAT
The most successful students invest more than 50 hours preparing.
Have a high level of seriousness when preparing and try to always act as if your practice test is the real test. Try to recreate the stress of test day while practicing. Make your final test a "dress rehersal" at roughly the same time of day as the real test.
Start preparing well in advance of the final due date for the GMAT. You will want to have plenty of time to retake the test if you do not do well on your first try.
Take the GMAT while in undergrad. Your GMAT score will last five years, which means you can take it while still in college/university. Studies show that students in school tend to score higher than graduates who have been out of school for several years. (Does your brain get slower as you get older?). This means that you should ideally take the GMAT while you are in school or as a recent graduate.
If you do take a GMAT class, prepare in advance by doing some limited GMAT preparation.
